From Baby Bump to Cake Smash!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting the chance to be a part of people’s biggest moments. I love getting to witness the excitement of awaiting the arrival of a baby during a maternity session and getting to see your hearts bursting with so much love while you look at that new baby in your arms. And when I get the opportunity to witness both of those moments and then some with the same family? Oh, there’s nothing more special to me than that. And I do offer a maternity\/newborn bundle as well as a milestone add-on that can be seen here<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I met Jessie and Nate back in November of 2021 for Jessie’s maternity session. It was such a beautiful evening and we got such an amazing sunset but let me tell you.. it was COLD! I’m personally never afraid to brave the cold with my clients but I always feel bad for them! You’d seriously never know it was windy and freezing by looking at their gallery and we had such a great night. We even got a little surprise visit from a friendly fox that was just walking around the park!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few months later, their sweet baby boy Oscar came along and what a dream it was to take his photos. It was so good to see Jessie and Nate again but let’s be honest, Oscar stole the show. I mean, look at that infectious smile he gave us in the photo below! He was just so calm and alert the whole time I was there and I truly loved every second of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somehow a whole year came and went and I was lucky enough to be asked to capture Oscar’s big 1 year birthday photos! I can’t believe how fast the year went. I walked into their house again and it really felt like I was just there yesterday for his newborn pictures. We kept it nice and simple with just a white backdrop, some balloons and a cake that he was a little apprehensive about at first. Once he saw that we were okay with him smashing it though he started having a blast! He’s such a sweet, silly, handsome and wild little boy. I’m so happy I got to see them all again and that I was invited along this journey. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there’s one thing to take away from reading this blog post (besides possibly catching baby fever after seeing this adorable boy), let it be this. Always get the photoshoot done. You’re only pregnant for 9 months, they’re only newborns for a few weeks and they turn 1 in the blink of an eye. So please make sure you don’t miss a single moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
